In-Studio Performance | Morning Shift | WBEZ (Chicago)
Seventeen-year-old “Little” Sonny Knight cut his first record in 1965. His dreams of becoming a big-time soul singer were put on hold with a three-year stint in the army, and a life full of twists and turns that took him away from the music business. But life is funny, and sometimes dreams do come true. Forty-nine years later, Knight is releasing his first full-length album to rave reviews. He performs selections from that album with his crack backup band The Lakers on Morning Shift.
